Cylinder Beach North Stradbroke Island
Located in close proximity for all Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast residents, North Stradbroke Island’s Cylinder Beach is the prefect place to park up with a group of close mates or escape for a family getaway.
With access to local restaurants and cafes, there’s also fun waves a just stone’s throw from the wind protected playground that is your camp site, and after a day in the sun, it’s hard to beat the feeling of an ice cold drink in your hand when it comes time for sunset.

Fraser Island, Fraser Coast
If endless stretches of white sand beaches are your ideal backdrop, Fraser Island is calling. Renowned as the biggest sand island in the world, Fraser has plenty to offer and is the perfect place for a little bit of r and r.
With a choice of 7 beach camping grounds, the exploration opportunities are endless. Our picks to make the most of your time would be mixing it between the grounds at Lake McKenzie, Wathumba, Dundudara and Waady Point which are a little quieter than the other commercial campgrounds. For those wanting to wake up on the sand itself, beach camping is also permitted in some areas on the both sides of the island.
Swim in the fresh water lakes, admire the 80 year old iconic shipwreck and go sand duning but just remember, to visit Fraser, you need a permit!
Noah Beach, Cape Tribulation
Noah Beach, Cape Tribulation sits nestled in paradise between the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef. It may have basic amenities, though the backdrop of two World Heritage listed areas meeting in front of your very own eyes speaks for itself and is well worth it.
Noah Beach camping area lies a mere 50 meters from the sand and is protected by the lushness of the overhanging rainforest, making it a relaxing spot to escape the heat and unplug. There may be limited phone signal, though that won’t stop you getting the snaps while you take in this amazing part of the world.
Double Island Point, Great Sandy National Park
Escape the mundane and embrace all the elements of beachside living with Double Island Point and the beauty it beholds.
Located just a short drive along Noosa’s North Shore for 4WD vehicles, the area offers something for all visitors and with Teewah Beach Camping Area as homebase, spend every minute exploring over 40km’s of empty beach front. There are no designated campsites, so pick your beach camping spot and park up, though remember, this is the full beach camping experience and it does require a permit so make sure you literally bring everything.
With breathtaking views from land to sea, the headland and lighthouse at Double Island Point is a must to check out, as well as other short trips to Red Canyon and Freshwater.
